Buddhist nun Quang Hieu receives gift from donors

The Hand of Compassion Charity, with donations from compassionate friends, delivers a helping hand to two families in need in Vietnam.

Veneration to the Exalted One, the Homage Worthy, the Perfectly Self-Enlightened

Dear members of the Ven. Dr. Giac Hanh and Disciples Charity, and compassionate friends around the world,

On behalf of the Ven. Dr. Giac Hanh and Disciples Charity, I would like to share some news with you.  Recently our newly formed Charity has carried out a small charitable effort to help the unfortunate in Vietnam.  As you might have read in our call for help, the two recipients our assistance are:

(1)  Buddhist nun Quang Hieu (Nguyen Thi Hong) at Dieu Nghiem temple in Hue city, who has been suffering from a mental condition, and

(2)   Ms. Truong Thi Le Xuan, who has been admitted to the hospital due to water in her lungs and loss of speech.

Because of their dire situations, we put out a call for help, and you have responded enthusiastically. Even if each of our contributions is relatively small compared to the costs of their ongoing treatments, it has helped in no small part to ease the pain and suffering of the two families.

The donations that we collected amounted to $600 and were sent to our two Project Coordinators in Vietnam to hand deliver to the two victims. They have received your gifts and were very touched and grateful by your generosity.  Below you can see the pictures taken by our Charity members at their homes.

On behalf of the Ven. Dr. Giac Hanh and Disciples Charity, I would like to convey a profound gratitude of the victims to each of you for your generous donations to help them in time of need. We are very happy that we all were able to make a small difference in their lives.

We sincerely appreciate your merits. May this blessing be with you soon. We wish you happiness, health and success.

In kindness,

Ven. Dr. Giac Hanh
